I'm... really not satisfied with this. I'm really not good at drawing in a realistic style, especially if I'm drawing from a photograph. I should've erased some things and the face isn't right and the clothes and hair bother me but I'm fine with it. This isn't going to be my only tribute to him... but it's the serious-ish one.
I've always loved that photograph; the one where he's lying on his stomach, in the desert or something like that, a foot or so away from this little lizard, and just kind of smiling a little. He was such an adorable man.
There's... not much I can say that hasn't already been said. He was a passionate, enthusiastic, amazing man, and the world has just lost a huge amount of Awesome.
Hey look. A Steve Irwin commercial. Thank you, Animal Planet.
They're going to be having a Crocodile Hunter marathon on Sunday. Animal Planet, that is. I'm going to watch as much of it as I can.
I... should probably find a reference picture. I was looking at one of the photographs in his and Terri's Biography. I'll... find it later. I'm not in the mood to go searching right now.
I'm going to put this on 'Critique Discouraged'. Most of the time I don't care, but I just really don't want critique right now.
"If there's one thing that I, Steve Irwin, would want to be remembered for, it's passion and enthusiasm. Conservation is my job, my life, my whole persona."
That's beautiful Meeko, he's in a much better place I assure you. He's probably in that same position, only this time he's looking down at his family, friends, and a whole bunch of reptiles.
R.I.P Steve Irwin We're gonna miss you~
